      <image:title>Services - What is therapy like?</image:title>
      <image:caption>Something that's very important to know is that therapy will usually feel worse before it feels better. This is completely normal and part of the process. The reason for that is because you're coming in with deep, painful experiences that can be heavy to process — not just emotionally, but also physically. The good news is that it does get better. If it’s your first time in therapy, you may have never shared some of your experiences with anyone else. So sometimes, you will feel tired after a session because it takes a lot to unpack all of the things that you've been holding on to or carrying for so long. It might bring up difficult memories or sad feelings that you may have been suppressing for so long or you just don't feel comfortable feeling at that time. It's always important to let me know how you're feeling during therapy, after therapy, and even right before coming into therapy so that I can help you process what's coming up for you. The duration of our time together depends on what you’re coming in for. You might just need support with a current event in your life, like a new job that’s causing stress or a breakup. You might want to process childhood trauma, or gain a deeper understanding about yourself. There is no right or wrong amount of time to be in therapy. It’s all about taking the time you need.</image:caption>
